Norway and Oslo next

After staging 3 exhibitions in Stockholm, it was only natural to cast eyes on the neighbouring country of Norway and its capital, Oslo as the next place for the international exhibition Buying Properties Abroad. The year was 2004 and Norway was enjoying a very strong economy and was one of the most interesting countries in Europe regarding buying properties abroad. Norwegians were only second to the English in terms of interest in buying a second home in the sun.

The choice of conference venue fell on Oslo Kongressenter/Folkets Hus, right in the center of Oslo. The first exhibition in October 2004 was a great success with more than 2,500 visitors – a number that also pleased the 40 exhibitors.

Over the years, Fair Media International has arranged 9 exhibitions under the banner of EIENDOM I UTLANDET, the Norwegian name for Buying Properties Abroad – all at the same venue.

During these last 5 years, there have been no less than 4 large exhibitions for buying properties abroad, every year in Oslo. 2 of these have been organised by Fair Media International at Folkets Hus/Kongressenter and 2 by the company Norges Varemesse, at Oslo Spectrum.

After years of discussions with our exhibitors, Fair Media International and Norges Varemesse have decided to combine forces, rather then to saturate the market. Oslo is after all a city of only 500,000 inhabitants. The first joint exhibition, EIENDOM I UTLANDET at Oslo Spectrum took place in October, 2008, right at the centre of Oslo.

The next fair in Oslo will take place 10-11 April at FOlketsHus/Kongressenter in the centre of Oslo. This will be the 11th exhibition organized by Fair Media in the Norweigian capital Oslo.
